NEET-UG Preparation Strategy - Complete details
The Best study Routine of a NEET student, Learning tips and tricks by Bairagoni Saitharun who cracked the NEET exam in 2020. Exam mock tests of Aakash
As per the current trend NEET is an easy examination which is being conducted by the NTA( National Testing Agency). As per NTA they are recommending NCERT books. From which majority of the questions will come from, so it will be much better if you can focus more on these books.
Biology Strategy:
Majority of the biology questions are given from NCERT. Each line and sentence must be thoroughly read and understood. Each diagram must be learned with perfect labelling.
With these steps you can score as much as 330-335 marks. (but not more than these maybe.)
Always prepare your own handwritten short notes after you complete each chapter.[I recommend you to write in A4 sheet, written with a gel pen and to be completed in 2-3 papers at max is preferable. I’ll attach a sample short-notes at the end of this post.]
Read your NCERT as many times as you can and read your notes before exam with same syllabus.
To score more than these:
You should refer your coaching modules preferably Aakash or allen or any leading coaching institutes.
With the above things you may get lots of knowledge but not the score, for scoring in NEET you should Need a stable mind-set to execute all your knowledge in a perfect way. For this thing you are required to practice a lot of different types of questions{MCQ's}.
You are also required to solve Previous years questions[but don't go with them too much because NTA is conducting an easy and simple NCERT based paper, as you can see 2019 & 2020 papers]
Chemistry strategy:
Inorganic:
Again it is also like your biology preparation follow the above same steps.
Organic:
These days NTA is directly giving chemical reactions from NCERT.
But still if you need deep understanding skills and want to solve any question, You should read your coaching notes{very useful, if possible} and solve all the coaching material.
Then if still you are not satisfied then you can go for other books:
i)M.S.Chouhan - Balaji publications NEET version only.{preferable}
ii)GRB- Himanshu pandey -JEE version. {but solve only single choice questions}
Physical:
Actually Physical chemistry given in NCERT is very lengthy and not much of it comes in NEET.
For this coaching materials are preferable. but going through NCERT tables, diagrams, coloured boxes and in-text questions is preferable. Solve as much of questions as you can. You can understand physical chemistry much better in this way.
Physics:
Again in this NCERT is not a better idea as like Physical chemistry.
You can start solving your questions as soon as you complete the topic and clarify as many doubts you can.
Books:
i)H.C.Verma-- Concepts of physics { the best for knowledge and practice.}
ii)D.C.Pandey-- {better for understanding questions and practice.}
If you are too much interested in getting knowledge you can use these books other than coaching materials.
Again going through NCERT tables, coloured boxes, points-to-ponder and in-text questions is compulsory. If you need best score from yourself.
From recent tests(NTA NEET). It is much clear that NEET physics is much easier compared to previous tests(CBSE NEET). It would be better if you concentrate equally in all three subjects.
Practice as many previous years papers as you can, so as to build up your confidence.
Aim for more marks as cut-off will be rising.
Hardwork is the Key to Success!
